Children of Courage Awards
CHILDREN OF COURAGE awards
Courage in the Face of Adversity
Our annual Children of Courage awards celebrate the remarkable strength, bravery, and resilience of young people in our community. These awards recognise children who have faced challenging circumstances, whether through illness, disability, or personal hardship, and have shown incredible courage in overcoming them. The event brings together families, friends, and supporters to honour their inspiring stories
The awards recognise young people of Nottingham who stand out from the crowd and have shown great personal achievement, by doing something that has made a difference to themselves or to those around them or shown great courage in the face of great adversity.

The Awards
The awards embody and celebrate courage, resilience, bravery and altruism. Not all nominations will embody all four qualities, some may demonstrate some of each, or predominantly one. In either case it is important to shine a light on the fortitude young people in our community possess.

Nomination Process
The next nominations process will open early 2027 when we will welcome nominations from schools, or other educational, youth focussed organisations. We only ask that the young person being nominated resides within the Nottingham City boundary (see below).

Shortlisting
Nominations for the next Rotary Club of Nottingham Children of Courage Awards will close around February 2027 to enable shortlisting and review of all the nominations, before we inform award winners early in March. Regretfully, we cannot honour all the incredible nominations we receive with an award, but all nominees will receive a certificate in recognition of their nomination.
