One of the ways we have supported this mission at the Rotary Club of Nottingham is through our lengthy involvement in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Scheme, in partnership with Nottingham City Council.

This wonderful initiative provides free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, fostering a love of reading from an early age and helping to improve literacy skills across the city.

Since its introduction in Nottingham, the scheme has had a significant impact. Thousands of children in Nottingham have received books each month, giving them the tools they need to develop essential reading skills and preparing them for a bright future.

By empowering young minds with the gift of literacy, we are helping to build a stronger, more educated community. We are immensely proud of the difference this programme is making in Nottingham and remain committed to supporting education and literacy for all.

We are actively looking for volunteers to keep this initiative driving forward. If you think you can help, why not get in touch with us?

The Rotary Club of Nottingham meets every Monday at 6:15pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nottingham. We host a different speaker each week, followed by dinner Why not come along and find a bit more about us and the projects we undertake in our community and further afield?
